Why Asian Women Immigrants?

“Your only defense is to be hard on yourself, which becomes compulsive… you don’t like how you look, how you sound… instead of solidarity, you feel that you are less than around other Asians…” – Cathy Park Hong, Minor Feelings

Asians are often described as “perpetual foreigners” regardless of how long we or our families have lived in America. Adaptation strategies range from overcompensating at our jobs to distancing ourselves from our cultural identities in hopes of successfully assimilating.

Join us as we kick off the year with our second virtual speed networking session, designed for Asian women immigrants, as we discuss challenges and strategies fitting into the workplace.

What to Expect?

  • Curated group of peers who understand your unique challenges
  • Case study centered on immigrants to spark discussion
  • One-on-one conversations with other professionals who also face challenges as immigrants
  • safe space to share experiences and find support

Why Attend?

1. Build Your Network: Expand your professional connections in a supportive, curated environment. Forge relationships that could lead to mentorship, sponsorship, or future opportunities.

2. Give Back: If you’re an immigrant, or a child of immigrants, who has successfully assimilated into American society, share your wisdom and help another woman on her journey.

3. Find Your Community: Humans were made for community. No matter what life throws at you, it feels so much more manageable when you have a supportive group of friends. Fortunately, there’s nothing like common struggles to bring people together. Find your support group among other Asian women who are going through similar challenges.

💌 There are only 20 spots available. Save your spot by Jan 17, 2025 and don’t miss out on this chance to get to know other Asian women immigrants who can relate to you and support you.
